Ludovic Elens

Eyewear

Finest eyewear, handcrafted in the heart of Brussels

In the Sablon in Brussels, Ludovic Elens is a Maison d’Artisans where eyewear is shaped within its own atelier, guided by a commitment to fine craftsmanship and contemporary elegance. Each frame is developed and made by hand. The work is built around two main lines: bespoke frames, conceived entirely to measure, and the Jazz Collection, a line of made-to-order models based on iconic designs developed by Ludovic himself. The atelier works with buffalo horn, acetate, wood, alloys, traditional and precious metals, all chosen for their technical qualities, unique character, and the way they evolve over time. Each piece takes form through the patient work of the team, carried out entirely in-house, until it reaches its final balance – a frame that sits naturally, feels right, and becomes part of the person who wears it.

Who's behind ?

Ludovic Elens

Ludovic Elens founded the atelier in 2015 with a clear vision: to move away from the one-size-fits-all approach of the eyewear industry, where too many people end up compromising. Trained as an optician, he developed an early interest in how objects are made and how they come together, before going on to learn the craft in Morez, in the French Jura, alongside passionate makers. He gradually built an approach where design, material and technical elements are closely intertwined. Today, he leads a team of craftspeople in Brussels, continuing to refine techniques and extend the possibilities of the atelier, while remaining closely involved in each project and guided by a constant pursuit of precision and excellence.
