Hans J. Wegner designed the Wishbone Chair in 1949.

To celebrate Wegner’s enduring legacy and more than 70 years of collaboration with Carl Hansen & Søn, London-based designer and creative Ilse Crawford has been invited to develop a color palette of 9 matte colors to give the chair a new perspective.

“We are inspired by the paintings of Per Kirkeby, who beautifully reflect his interest
in nature. These are not standard colors governed by the trends of the time, but
colors that add depth and complexity to any interior.”
