The Smart Wood collection-Kartell @ Dominique Rigo

The Smart Wood collection is a new challenge for Kartell “to allow itself all the freedom of curves with wood as well as composite materials”.

This feat is now possible thanks to a design patent that brings together motivations such as innovative curves created by Philippe Starck, elegant design, an ecological approach to production and a very high-quality finish. The D-technology, mastered in these extreme proportions of curves, allows the seven layers of ash methodically collected from trees from a controlled production (foc) to be covered with a veneer of beech or ash with a protective varnish.

K/Wood from this collection is the royal style armchair, complemented by S/Wood, the footrest with matching finish.
