The Hotel

Hospitality

Style in all its splendour

With its 27-storey tower that dominates the chic Boulevard de Waterloo, The Hotel combines refinement and a cosmopolitan atmosphere at the heart of the capital of Europe. The Hotel is the destination of choice for clients from around the world, seduced by the alliance of excellent service, style and a room with an unbeatable view.

Thanks to their brilliant refined lines and their intelligent conception, the 420 rooms and suites anticipate the desires and needs of business travellers and respond intuitively. The cumbersome desks so often found in hotel rooms have made way for a leather sofa that runs the width of each room beneath the window. And thanks to the spacious bathrooms that naturally fit into the space of the bedroom, guests can benefit from the extraordinary view over the city even from their shower.

Thirteen functional yet elegant meeting rooms on the first, 25th, 26th and 27th floors offer a stimulating environment for professional events with first-rate fittings and a panoramic view over the capital. Our largest rooms can accommodate up to 400 people.

Who is behind this label?

These are the personalities who create our BEL labels every single day.

Egbert Buursink

“I wanted to work in hospitality from the age of 14, although my vision of a quiet hotel in the mountains was quite different to where I initially ended up – big conference hotels in the US and Berlin. I’ve lived in Brussels for 27 years now, and I’ve spent five years as General Manager at The Hotel.”

“Personally, I love the challenge of a constantly transforming market; in the last few years we’ve seen that people are travelling less, but they’re becoming more discerning and experience-driven. It’s up to us to deliver a stay that’s memorable; going beyond just another bed, another meal, another cocktail.”

“Industry disruptors like AirBnB have illustrated the value of local knowledge and passion. They want to show guests what they love about their area, and we’ve definitely learned from that in the luxury hotel sector. It’s about being genuinely innovative and inspiring, not being the biggest or the most mainstream.”

“A great day is when I’m amongst team members and guests; when I can feel that staff feel motivated and empowered, and that our guests are enjoying experiences which go beyond their expectations. Much better than a long meeting!”
